Retail Assistants

THE ROLE

This is a hands-on retail role supporting the day-to-day operation of the Mont store. You will assist customers in-store, over the phone and via email, help maintain exceptional store presentation, support stock handling and merchandising, and contribute to a positive, team-focused environment. Reporting to the Shop Manager, you will play an important part in helping customers find the right gear with confidence.

You are friendly, approachable and genuinely enjoy helping people
You bring strong customer service skills and clear communication
You are organised, reliable and comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment
You have attention to detail and take pride in getting things right
You are comfortable learning about technical outdoor products and sharing that knowledge with customers
You work well as part of a team and are willing to pitch in where needed
Previous retail experience is highly regarded
An interest in the outdoors or adventure gear will be advantageous

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide outstanding customer service and product advice in-store, by phone and via email
Greet customers, understand their needs and help them choose the right products
Operate the point-of-sale system and handle transactions accurately
Assist with unpacking, ticketing and merchandising stock
Maintain a clean, organised and well-presented store environment
Support stock checks, stocktakes and inventory control activities
Assist with opening and closing procedures and daily cash handling
Work collaboratively with the wider team and support other areas as needed
