Description

The Nepal SA features a classic shape pick ideal for self arresting, and a wide shovel/adze for easy movement of hardpack snow or ice. The slightly curved shaft is made of 7075 Aluminium Alloy (Ergal), surpassing UIAA standards regarding strength and durability.

The carbon steel head has teeth along half its length, and along with the shaft, is hot drop forged to ensure durability and quality. The Nepal SA makes a great first ice axe for non-technical mountaineering, high altitude trekking, or for use with groups. Surpasses the UIAA "B" rating for ice tools.
